Aimée Richards named senior project manager for workforce development

The UA Office of Workforce Development is pleased to announce that Aimée Richards has joined the team as Senior Project Manager to the Associate Vice President of Workforce Development.

Aimée brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, including more than a decade with the University of Alaska system. She began her UA career in 2014 as an Academic Advisor at UAS and most recently served as Career Services Manager, where she led major advancements in student engagement and employer partnerships, and launched a new Virtual Career Center.

Originally from rural Manitoba, Aimée holds a B.S. in Geography from the University of Winnipeg and an M.Ed. in Post-secondary Studies from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is recognized for her leadership in system-wide improvements through collaborative projects, strategic partnerships, and a deep commitment to expanding access and opportunity for learners.

Outside of work, Aimée is active in Juneau’s Native Youth Olympics community and enjoys beading, fishing, and berry picking in Southeast Alaska, where she has lived with her family since 2011.
